EXHIBITS AND DEMONSTRATIONS TAKING PLACE ON BOTH DAYS

  • Revolutionary and Civil War reenactors encampment

  • Demonstrations of 18th and 19th Century blacksmithing, sheepherding, lumberjacking, cooking, horseshoeing

  • 18th and 19th Century children’s games

  • Local history displays

  • Local vendors, community organizations, and crafts

  • Live music

  • Food and drink vendors, breakfast and lunch

  • Bristol Library used book sale

  • 10 a.m. Opening Ceremony

  • 11 a.m. to Noon History Talk: The Phelps and Gorham Purchase and the Settlement of “Genesee Country,” by Ben Falter, Ontario County Historical Society (in main pavilion)

  • 1-2 p.m. History Talk: Haudenosaunee Influences on American Democracy, by Mohawk storyteller Perry Ground (in main pavilion)

  • 10 a.m., Noon, 2:30 p.m. Demonstration: Border Collie sheepherding, by Amanda Farnsworth, Cherry Hill Training Center (on soccer field)

  • 10 a.m. to Noon Demonstration: Corn husk doll-making, by Kim Torpey (Harmony Circle Pavilion, west side of park)

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Demonstration: Maple syrup making (on field)

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Demonstration: Spinning and knitting, Bristol Fiber Arts group (at main pavilion)

  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pickers In The Park: Open jam for local folk musicians

  • 10:30 a.m. Parade assembly (Sharon Miller Trail at State Route 64)

  • 11 a.m. Parade (down State Route 64 and County Road 32 to the park)

  • 11:30 a.m. Flag Day ceremony

  • Noon to 3 p.m. South Hill String Band

  • Noon to 4 p.m. Car show, pie sale, local vendors and civic organizations (traditional Bristol Fun Day events)

  • Noon to 3 p.m. Raffles and auctions (in the main pavilion)
