The society’s collections
The Historical Society collects artifacts, photos, and paintings of historical interest, both to preserve them and to educate our community about its history. We gratefully accept donations or loans (contact the town historian) of originals or scans. With owners’ permission, we include such items in a historic photo traveling exhibit at the town halls, the Bristol Library, and at Bristol Fun Day in June. At the Historical Society’s Grange Hall in South Bristol, we display artifacts, ephemera, maps, and other items of historical important acquired by or donated to the Historical Society.
