The first symposium devoted to research into the archaeological remains of Frost Town, one of the first industrial logging villages of Western New York. Founded in 1790, Frost Town was located on and near what is now the Rochester Museum and Science Center’s Cumming Nature Center in South Bristol. Three panel discussions with archaeologists, historians, and local scholars, plus a keynote address by the director of the Frost Town Archaeology project, Dr. Alex Smith, and an opening of a new exhibit following the presentations. See Cumming Nature Center for more details. Register for this free event by May 6 for a free catered lunch and T-shirt.
